Maitland Trail

We stopped on the Maitland Trail in Goderich for a quick cleanup this afternoon.

While Lake Huron looked crystal blue today, sections of the trail were far from pristine. Near several fishing spots, we collected improperly discarded fishing line, plastic, sinkers, Styrofoam cups, and beer bottles, filling an entire bag of trash and gathering 20 recyclables.

Thanks to the friendly trail-goers who cheered us on along the way! We wrapped up our hike proud to leave behind a much cleaner path.
