Land Acknowledgement

The Great Lakes basin is home to many Indigenous Peoples, both now and since time immemorial. We live in Guelph on the treaty lands and traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. The Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, and Attiwonderonk peoples have long standing relationships with this land. Through our cleanups and continued learning, we seek to build relationships grounded in respect, responsibility, and reciprocity with the land and one another. We recognize this work is an ongoing practice that extends beyond a single cleanup. We acknowledge these waters have been cared for by Indigenous Peoples for millennia.
