Guelph Lake Paddle Cleanup

For our first paddle cleanup of Guelph Lake, we headed for the tucked-away beaches across the main island. The lake waters are clear this time of year before the algae blooms, but the beaches were far from pristine. Illegal campers set campfires and trashed the small beaches. Today’s haul from one short stretch: 2.75 kg of garbage, 16 cans, 9 bottles, fishing line, two diapers, assorted clothing, and one Star Wars themed bong.
