Speed River Trail Trash Camouflage

Last night’s bike cleanup of the Speed River featured all the usual suspects: single-use plastics, car parts, Tim Hortons cups — and the show-stopper: a plastic leaf trying to blend in.

Now that the vegetation is a foot high along the trails, the trash is better hidden. But it’s still there, and still fragmenting and drifting towards the river. Spotting where it hides takes more work and bushwhacking now, and it’s very much still worth doing.
