World Cleanup Day
Speed River
We are excited to join global efforts for World Cleanup Day as part of River-Cleanup!
Since March, our community has pulled over 700 kg of debris from local watersheds (that’s roughly the weight of two adult moose) and diverted thousands of recyclables. Every piece of litter we intercept upstream stops harmful microplastics from leaching downstream into our Great Lakes.
By coming together for World Cleanup Day, we can expand our positive impact even further. Join us for a stroll along the Speed River by the River Run Centre (next to the historic CNR Locomotive) to help protect our local waters! The lake starts here.
